What is Ezzo Budget?
Ezzo Budget is a personal budget planner and expense tracker that runs entirely in your browser. It includes two tools: the Simple Budget Planner for straightforward monthly budgeting, and the Ultimate Budget Planner which adds a debt payoff calculator, sinking funds tracker, subscription tracker, automatic transactions, a financial calendar, and Ezzo, an AI budget assistant. No account creation, no bank login, and no subscription required.
Is Ezzo Budget really free?
Both planners offer a free trial with limited categories and transactions so you can explore every feature. When you're ready to unlock unlimited usage, it's a one-time purchase: $9.99 for the Simple Budget Planner and $24.99 for the Ultimate Budget Planner. There are no monthly or annual subscription fees.
Where is my data stored?
By default, all your financial data is stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage, and nothing is sent to a server. If you'd like your data to follow you across devices, you can optionally sign in with Google - your data is then kept in a file in your own Google Drive, never on our servers. Ezzo Budget never asks for your bank credentials and never transmits your financial information anywhere else. Your budget, transactions, and settings stay entirely under your control.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. Ezzo Budget is designed for manual entry, which gives you full privacy and control over your data. You add your income, expenses, bills, and other transactions yourself. Many users prefer this approach because it keeps them actively engaged with their spending and avoids sharing sensitive bank credentials with third-party services.
What's the difference between Simple and Ultimate?
The Simple Budget Planner covers the essentials: income, expenses, bills, debt, and savings categories with transaction tracking and a visual dashboard. The Ultimate Budget Planner includes everything in Simple, plus a debt payoff calculator (avalanche and snowball methods), sinking funds tracker, subscription tracker, automatic recurring transactions, a financial calendar, allocation buckets, and Ezzo, an AI budget assistant you can ask questions about your own data. Check the comparison table above for a full feature-by-feature breakdown.
Can I track debt payoff with Ezzo Budget?
Yes. The Ultimate Budget Planner includes dedicated Debt Payoff tools that support both the avalanche method (highest interest first) and the snowball method (smallest balance first). You can add all your debts, set minimum payments and interest rates, add extra payments, and see a projected payoff timeline. The Simple planner lets you track debt payments as a budget category.
What are sinking funds?
Sinking funds are a budgeting strategy where you set aside a small amount each month for a large, planned expense, like a vacation, car repair, or holiday gifts. The Ultimate Budget Planner lets you create sinking funds with a target amount and target date, then automatically calculates how much you need to save each month to reach your goal on time.
Does Ezzo Budget work on mobile?
Yes. Ezzo Budget is fully responsive and works on any device with a modern browser, including phones and tablets. There's nothing to install from an app store. Just open the page, and your budget is ready.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Both planners support CSV export so you can download your full transaction history and use it in spreadsheet software like Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. You can also import transactions from a CSV file.
What languages does Ezzo Budget support?
Ezzo Budget supports English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Polish. You can switch languages in the settings panel of either planner.
